The Dope Vault

We buy collections

Cards · Collectibles · Culture

We buy your cards
outright.

No listing them. No shipping them one at a time. No waiting months to find out what they were worth.

  • Inherited a collection
  • Clearing out childhood cards
  • Downsizing a PC
  • Sitting on one big card

The part nobody tells you

You don't need to know
what it's worth.

That's the work we do, and it's the part you're not paying for. You tell us roughly what's in the box. We identify it, check condition, and price it against what those cards have actually been selling for.

What comes back

One number.
In writing. In 24 hours.

One offer for the whole lot — commons included — with the comps behind it if you want to see them. Take it or leave it.

What you get

Free valuation
We price it against real recent sales — not a guess, and not a range.
An answer in 24 hours
Answer five questions and we come back with a number the next day.
No obligation
Say no and nothing happens. The valuation is yours to keep either way.

See how we handle a collection

Watch a real intake from the moment it lands to the offer going out — sorting, checking condition, pulling comps, and where the value actually turns out to be hiding.

How it works

  1. You answer five questions

Roughly what you have and how to reach you. No card-by-card list, no photos required.

  2. We do the digging

We identify what's there, check condition, and price it against what those cards have actually been selling for.

  3. You get a number

One offer for the lot, in writing, within 24 hours. Take it or leave it.

The five questions

  1. What are you looking to sell?
  2. Roughly how many cards?
  3. What's in there — which sports or sets?
  4. Is any of it graded?
  5. How should we reach you?

You don't need to know what any of it is worth. That part is our job, and it's the part you're not paying for.

IV

Why sell to us

  • One transaction, not two hundred

A collection sold piece by piece is months of listing, packing and answering questions. This is one conversation and one payment.

  • No fees taken out

The number we give you is the number you get. Nothing is deducted afterwards for selling, promoting or processing.

  • We take the commons too

Most buyers cherry-pick the hits and leave you the box. We price the lot, including the bulk, so you're not left holding the rest.

  • Raw is fine

Ungraded cards are most of what we buy. You don't need to get anything slabbed first — in most cases you shouldn't.

  • Condition read honestly

We tell you when something is worth grading instead of selling to us. Occasionally the right advice is to keep it.

  • You keep the valuation

Even if you walk away, you leave knowing what you have. That's worth something the next time someone makes you an offer.

Questions people ask

Do I need to know what my cards are worth?

No, and you shouldn't have to. Identifying and pricing the cards is the work we do. All you're telling us is roughly what's in there.

What if most of it is commons?

That's normal — most collections are. It doesn't disqualify you. We price the whole lot rather than pulling out three cards and handing back the rest.

Do you only buy graded cards?

No. Most of what we buy is raw. Graded slabs are simpler to price, but ungraded cards are the bulk of the business.

How do you decide the price?

Recent completed sales for the same card in the same condition, adjusted for how quickly it moves. We'll show you the comps behind the offer if you ask.

What if I only have one card?

Still worth asking. Single high-value cards are a normal part of what we buy, and the valuation is free either way.

Is the valuation really free?

Yes. There's no fee and no obligation. If the number doesn't work for you, that's the end of it.

Five questions

Then we do the research and come back with a number.

1 What are you looking to sell?
2 Roughly how many cards?
3 What's in there? Pick any
4 Is any of it graded?
5 How should we reach you?

We'll only use this to value your cards and send you the offer.

That's all we need

We're pulling comps now. You'll have a number within 24 hours.
